Dry Lips...Hydrating Lip Care?

I find that my lips get dry really easily and frequently. I've tried it all - Vaseline, Blistex, Chapstick, Lip Glosses (even high-end ones), Body Shop... but I find they are just temporary remedies. I want a lip product that I can feel sink down and hydrating.

Other ones I try sort of sit on my lips and when they go away, my lips are dry again. For school I want something that will last long.

Does anyone have any suggestions? How is Burt's Bees?

I looked it up on Sephora and

I'm considering the first two and the GoSmile one. Any suggestions?

Burt's Bees is amazing! I love their raspberry lip balm. It comes in a glass jar with a metal cap.

drink more water!!
the burt's bees one is one of the best
I have this problem in the winter and finally found a solution a couple years ago. Mary Kay has a treatment mask and balm set that worked wonders on my lips. It's a bit pricey but I thought it was well worth it. If you don't have a sales rep near you, go to marykay.com/lips (no I don't sell MaryKay :) Burt's Bees is my favorite everyday lip balm but if you have serious problems try the Mary Kay mask. It's called :

Satin Lips Set (mask and balm) and sells for $18
get it checked out by a professional
Make sure you drink atleast 4 cups of water a day and maybe some other liquids. Take an Omega-3 supplement and a whole food multivitamin. serious chapped lips are either a sign of a vitamin deficiency, dehydration, or overly harsh skin care products, like retinA, sulfur or benzoyl peroxide.

As for lip remedies, I like to use chapstick or carmex (very strong). I put it on at bedtime and throughout the day, but I also take vitamins and I haven't had those severe dry lips in years.
I also suggest drinking more water and taking more vitamins, but I also know that this isn't enough all the time. I used to have the same problem, but I've found a regime that works:

-Wear vaseline to bed every night. (make sure the vaseline is from a jar, not the kind in a tube or designated for lips, this makes allll the difference) For some reason, it works differently while you're sleeping, possibly because you're not talking or breathing through your mouth which can give it a chance to better penetrate the lips. Put on a lot, but not so much that it's gross.

-In the morning, take an old toothbrush and exfoliate the dead skin from your lips. In most cases, you can even just wipe the vaseline off with a piece of tissue and the dead skin should come right off. Your lips should feel really smooth after having the vaseline on all night and exfoliating, and after a while, you shouldn't have to do this every day.

-Apply a good lip balm all through the day day, any and every time you think about it. I HIGHLY recommend heading to Bath and Body Works and picking up a tin of C.O. Bigelow's Rose Salve for $5.50, it has a light rosy scent and makes your natural lip color look really good, plus it stays on your lips forever and one tin of it lasts you more than two months, even with daily use. My other recommendation is heading to Sephora and getting Shu Uemura's Gloss Lacquer, because it's moisturizing with a sheer color that isn't sticky, but it is pretty pricey at $26, though totally worth it. While you're at Sephora, also look into the Soothing Skin and Lip Care Balm or Lip Protector by Murad. It's worth the money at $14-16.50 because it smells and feels really good, and it has staying power.

-NEVER LICK YOUR LIPS. It dries them out. Period.

Oh, and I personally don't care for Burt's Bees. I did have the Pomegranate one and it was pretty good, but not in my top five. And I don't know if it's just me, but Carmex burns my lips, I think I'm allergic to it.

Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!
i think the go smile one

but also maybe you should ask your doctor
i personally prefer CARMEX. it lasts long for me and also helps chaped lips.
Have you tried a lip exfoliant?

Personaly I slap on lip balm every like half hour or so to keep my lips moisturized because they get DRY in the winter time.

I use Rosebud lip balm but I';m getting in a shipment of this new brand I'm trying out called vintage sisters.

They're having a sale right now. 18$ for 6 summer flavored lip balms so I ordered that to give it a go.

Try going to a cosmetics store and asking the sales ladies if they have any tips =]
