Unless your friend has proper autoclaved equipment, a sterilized environemnt, research on how to do this properly, and body piercing training, then i wouldnt suggest your friend doing it.

Buy an autoclave.
At least then everything will be sterile.
if you don't have an autoclave the chance of an infection is very high.
And a clamps.
Then it wont be extremely crooked.
Do two sea salt soaks a day for the outside, and use mouthwash without alcohol in it for the inside after you eat or smoke (if you smoke).
