How do you care for a lip piercing?

I just got mine done an i was wondering how you properly care for itHow do you care for a lip piercing?
clean it everyday, after each meal.





i got the H2Ocean salt water spray for mine, the lady told me to spray it on the front and back after everytime i eat. and the bottle says use it 3-6 times a day. so what i do is spray it when i wake up, after i eat breakfast, after i eat lunch, after i eat dinner, and after i eat any snacks and then before i go to bed. just a quick squirt on the inside and outside.

my husband got his done. and it healed in a week. use the H20 Spray every morning and every night. and after you eat.


DO NOT USE MOUTHWASH!!! I cannot stress this enough. it is not good for it at all. it will make it take longer to heal.


it is recommended you avoid foods or drinks with yeast for any piercing in the mouth. i have my tongue pierced and i ate everything. beer contains yeast also and I drank. honestly i think alcohol helped keep mine clean. but if you do this, don't use beer salt. I only say this if you are 21.


i have known a couple people whose lips got infected no matter what they did. so good luck and i hope this helped.
mouthwash, antibacterial soap thats about it, jsut make sure you keep it super duper clean
