i had my lip ring for two years and all of a sudden its infected!!what should i do?i cleaned it but its still infected and it hurts..also this is a silly question but are snakebites the same as a regular lip ring or is it pierced differently?HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF AN INFECTED LIP RING?
NOOO! Do not take it out!! I repeat DO NOT, I said DO NOT take it out!
If you take it out there willl be nothing to drain out the infection the piecing will close up and the infection will stay in your lip. The 100% best thing to do is go see a piercer.HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF AN INFECTED LIP RING?
If you don't want to take it out, here's what you can do...
Personally, my lip never got infected, it was my monroe that got infected! But you can do pretty much the same thing - I just soaked it in biotine every 3 - 4 hours. You might also want to take out whatever jewelry you have in it, and clean the hole, then put in different jewelry (after soaking it in alcohol, of course).
Also, snakebites are the same, just another on the other side! They don't pierce it at the same time or anything, they'll just pierce one side, put the jewelry in that one, and then go on to the other side. The only thing different really is the use of two needles, and the ';is this even'; calculation!
Hope I helped!
You should keep rinsing it with the antiseptic washes and putting on creams
i would personally use TCP or Savlon.
you should take it out and let it heal. then get it pierced again. snakebite are 2 lip rings not just one. one lip ring is on the left side of your lip and the other lip ring is on the right side of your lip.
