Lip Piercing Care.................?

ok so i need general advice of what a piercer would give to the person he pierced, i got my dont and he gave me none. Please help.Lip Piercing Care.................?
wash it with a salt water solution 3 times a day

use cotton buds to get wid of the crusty bits

and swish it round the front of your mouthLip Piercing Care.................?
I was talking to my uncle the other day who is training as a piercer, and he told me that if I had mine done then I should just use listerine to keep the inside of my mouth clean and stop infections as I also have my tongue done. And for the outside he said to use salt water, basically you just need to keep it from going septic so any antiseptic creams surely should work... but I don't think you can place them inside of your mouth.
Use listerine or other mouth wash to make sure the germs are gone from ur mouth, also just put antibacterial liquid on every day. You should be fine!
You could always call or go back to ask. Hell, you could have at least tried to ask when you were in the shop...

Anyway, when I got my lip pierced I'd swish sea salt water in my mouth after everytime I smoked/ate/kissed. I cleaned the outside with sea salt water too, but would then rinse it off with fresh water. If you decide to use mouthwash, make sure it's alcohol-free.
you should complain because they have to tell you how to care for it.

use sea salt and water to clean your piercing. Only sea salt, no table salt. The solution is 1/4 of a teaspoon to every cup of warm water. Soak your piercing in it for a couple minutes and then rinse with clean water and pat dry.

Do this every time you eat or smoke. Don't use any antibacterial soap or anything. If it gets infected leave it in and consult your piercer. Never take out an infected piercing, it can trap the infection inside wherever you got pierced.

Don't pick off crusty bits unless you have softened them in warm water first. Do not touch your piercing unless you have washed your hands first.
