i just now peirced my lip. what is all the post care? How do u take care of a newly periced lip?
I have my lip pierced. Hurt eh? Lol. Anywho...
-Rinse with alcohol free mouthwash after EVERYTHING that goes into your mouth such as food, drinks and after every cigarette!! Except water.. water doesn't mater.
-No kissing or any oral sex for 3-4 weeks.
-Clean it twice a day with antibacterial soap. Take a q-tip and rub the soap around it, then move the ring side to side and in and out. Make sure your hands are clean before you do this. Grab a cup and dump water over it to get rid of the soap. (A good idea when you wash your hands before you do it is to dry them with paper towel instead of a cloth towel becuase cloth towels tend to hold more bacteria.)
-If it gets crusty, gently remove the crust from your jewelry with a disposable, one-use product such as a tissue, cotton-ball, swab, or square. (Not a hand/cloth towel!)
-Don't ever touch it for any reason before its healed if your hands are not clean. Don;t let your friends touch it either. Alot of my friend tryed to do this and I has to slap their hands away lol.
One last thing, don't drink any alcohol untill its healed! Booze is VERY bad for an oral piercing!
Best of luck! :)How do u take care of a newly periced lip?
Clean with saline solution. Expect a slight splitting of the lip in the area of the piercing on the inner lip, this is normal. Do not use regular mouthwash as it is too harsh. Don't play with your lip even though you are tempted. You may apply ice to the lip if it swells too much. Don't touch your piercing or the jewelry unless you wash your hands.
Dont have sex for a while
remove it and let it heal
learn from your mitake
You are supposed to leave it alone except wash the outside blood off if there is any. Like in the morning if it's scabbed up, wash that off. Let it heal naturally.
You have to not use them lip for a few days, so the swelling of the lip don't hurt you, unless you like that kinda fun...
