What will happen if I peirce my lip with a safty pin but take good care of it.?

my husband pierced his eyebrow with a safety pin...the skin around it swelled and it pussed. he took good care of it, but eventually(after like 2 weeks) he removed it. his skin or the acids in his skin were eating away at the safety pin...it was very rusted.

Owww!! You are risking major major infection. If you're worried about cost, the surgery to have the damage you'll do will cost TONS more than it would to have a professional do it. Don't risk it!
You would be screaming in pain and have to go to the doctors for your wound. Maybe accidently disfigure your lip. Best if done by a professional with sterile equiptment.
I work in a piercing salon, so I do have some first hand experience on this one. The metal used to make safety pins is not the same material used in piercing salons. Therefore, since it is not an anti-infection material, chances of infection are increased by 65%. If you really want your lip pierced, please spend the money to get it done professionally. I have seen too many infections from people not using the correct piercing materials.
do not do that! you HAVE to have a professional do it. You can get so many diseases from doing so, and by diseases i mean you would be lucky to just get an infection.
It doesn't matter how well you take care of it.


You are risking getting hepatitis, or even TB. Just don't do it. Have a professional do it for you. It costs money but its' better for you in the long run.
just dont ! ul probli peirce it in the rong place and it wont look nice and has a lot more of a chance to get infected even if u take care of it ! lol
it will turn out ok but just to let you know 53% of people in the world can not have thier lip pierced because of vains and all that stuff so get it dont by a pro and they chek that before hand
You are risking an infection that way- it's really better to have a pro do this for you, any piercings besides ear should not be done at home.

On the bad side....end up with an infected lip with green puss coming out of it, or scar you lip and then having to wait ages till you can get it done again.





It doesn't cost much to have it done professionally. Let a professional do it, that way atleast you won't be licking puss off your lips for weeks after!
