I just got my lip pierced three days ago. Cleaning and care?

I recently get the left side of my lip pierced (professionally!)


I swish/gargle warm sea-salt water everyday.


But i need help dealing with the yellow discharge.


I understand it is normal, but how should i clean it?





Can i use tea-tree oil?


What else can i use to clean the outside of my piercing?

Okay, yellow discharge,


It's all normal, just scrape it off!


Make sure your hands are clean though.


Warm Sea Salt is good.


There's also mouth piercing wash, which is really good, you swirl it around in your mouth and it helps with infection.


But if you don't want that, then just stick to sea salt and watch while eating sticky things the first week because they do tend to get stuck around the ball, which feels disgusting.


Also make sure the balls are always tight! Hah, i lost a couple the first weeks of getting mine pierced!

Don't use any random products.





Just get BOILED (to kill all bacteria) water and put salt in it, then get some cotton wool or tissue and clean the outside of your piercing (aswell as the inside, but you said you already do that) and make sure you twist the piercing aswell to make sure it doesn't go all crusty.
