What do I have to do to take care of my lip piercing? ?

At the piercing place they said just a lot of rinsing with water pretty much...What do I have to do to take care of my lip piercing? ?
rinse with listerine half diluted with water. and do sea salt soaks for the outside. do not use alcohol or peroxide to clean it. those are very bad for piercings. and please dont go back to that piercer. if he/she didnt take the time to tell you the proper aftercare then they are not a good piercer. Don't go back to that place, if they didn't even explain aftercare to you. Rinse with nonalcoholic mouth wash after every meal, and soak the outside of the piercing a few times a day with sea salt soaks (1/4 tsp sea salt to 8oz of water).
First of all keep it clean. Rinse your mouth out after you put anything in it, I would recommend Bio-tine it's alcohol free so it doesn't sting when you use it and it won't kill the bacteria your mouth needs to heal. Don't touch it too much. Gargle with salt and warm water.
