How do you take care of a lip piercing??

i wore a fake lip stud for 1 month then pierced my lower lip by myself and my parents still think its fake...how do i take care of it so it wont get infected without my parents knowing i have itHow do you take care of a lip piercing??
From personal expierience:





DO NOT:


-Clean it with peroxide or rubbing alcohol, it hurts! and it dries the hole causing it to heal slower.


-Try not to touch it..unless you wash your hands ALOT


-Don't eat dairy products too often, they have a certain bacteria in it that causes infections.


-Eat really spicy foods. It WILL hurt.





DO


-Clean it with salt-water everyday


-Use mouthwash when you brush your teeth


-After eating something rinse your mouth out with water if possible. If it's not possible use mouthwash when you are able to use it.How do you take care of a lip piercing??
First of all let me say how foolish you are! now that we have that out of the way....swish with salt walter like you with with any mouth wash. make sure it get the area where you pierced inside and out...... You can also pour on the outside of the piercing with sailine solution or Soap and water (but that can dry it out and make it worse, so be careful with that)
When you wash your face don't wash around your lip..


Then use something other than antibacterial soap for your lip. Also use any kind of mouthwash 2 times a day.


I did that for my monroe. Also swish water in your mouth every 4 hours to clean it out.
I think you should contact the one that gave it to you.Was it a tattoo place?If it was done by someone other than a licensed person,with a shop of their own;I'd go to a doctor.
go ask a professional piercing place, they can give you some special cleaner and instructions.
HA!! your parents are gonna find out, trust me. In the mean time, wash out your mouth with mouth wash after every meal or any time you eat food. check this site out for other suggestions
