How do i take care of my lip piercing?

Ok so I got my lip pierced sunday, well its kinda sore and a little swelling. Is it ok for me to take it out and cleanse it through or do I need to leave it in and clean it that way. Please help!!!How do i take care of my lip piercing?

Leave it in! The time it takes to take it out and clean the area...it will for sure grow up. Leave the stud/ring in and clean it that way with an approved cleaning solution such as H2Ocean-which works really well I find.





Its just red and swollen from getting pierced. The swelling will go down and the soreness will dissipate.





On the off chance that it starts to generate pus, clear liquid like substances it could be infected. Just be careful and clean it like the piercer guidelines tell you to and you should be fine!
Spray it with sterile saline after you clean it. If you don't saline you can make some with sea salt and water. Clean it with dial soap. It may taste nasty but it will keep it from getting infected. Once it heals you wont have to clean it as often but every once and awhile will prevent infections.
Well my Boyfriend has one, and he tried to take it out to clean it, and it almost closed up. I guess its kinda like an ear, just try to clean it as much as you can without taking it out, unless it gets infected.
