Do Nivea lip care products really darken lips? (***Question Open for more answers)?

I've been using Nivea Velvet Rose lip balm and after a few days I noticed that my lips suddenly became pale and dark. It is very unusual that when I have no lip balm my lips seemed pale and darker than it was before. Do you think I should stop using it?Do Nivea lip care products really darken lips? i use a lip balm from nivea i forgot what its called but its clear in a blue container. ive never tried the velvet rose lip balm but perhaps the pigments in it are really strong and tinted your lips? or maybe your so used to the color of your lips with the lip balm on that you forgot the natural color of your lips (im serious) you said your lips ';seemed'; pale... so maybe its all in your head. if you feel uncomfortable using it then stop using it. but nivea is a great brand and im sure theres nothing harmful in it.
Nivea is a moisturising cream. It generally protects and nourishes your skin. But it varies from person to person. As you said that your lips became dark..i would suggest you to stop using it. Use something which will suit your skin.
