i got spiderbites. How to take care of lip piercings?
1/8 teaspoon of salt per 1 oz of water. Swish that around in your mouth for a few minutes.
Also, with that same mixture, take a cotton ball an dip it in and hold it on your snakebites for 5-10 minutes. Make sure to rinse after both.
Then clean your snakebites with anti-bacterial soap and water.
These can all be done at different times of the day. It doesn't have to be done at once, since they all sort of clean it. It would be pointless to do it at once. How to take care of lip piercings?
(that's awesome) but..your piercer should have told you how to take care of them. I don't have my lip pierced but my eyebrow and nose are and I'd say they can probably be taken care of the same way. I just use water and some anti-bacterial soap and if you are really concerned you can put some anti-bacterial cream on it (but it's not really necessary as long as you clean it a few times a day)
Did you get them done by a professional? If so, they should have told you how to take care of them. If they didn't, you should have asked. Either way, I probably wouldn't go back there if I were you.
Just rinse with nonalcoholic mouth wash a couple times a day, and maybe do a sea salt soak or 2 a day (on the outside). If it gets swollen, suck on ice, maybe popcicles. If the rings/bars get too tight, go back to your pierce and have them put in bigger rings/bars.
DO NOT USE ANY ALCOHOL BASE MOUTHWASH!!!!! REPEAT...NO ALCOHOL. Crest makes a good wash, with out alcohol or peroxide. Binactin is good too. Get little bottles at Walgreens for like $.99 - $1.50 that's what my piercer recommended.
Sea salt rinses after you eat/kiss/smoke, and sea sea salts on the outside.
never ever twist them!
always use listerine to rinse your mouth morning, night and after you eat!
