What is the best way to care for lip piercing?

I just my lip done on friday! i've been using peroxide to keep it clean.. also is there any way i could change the stick to have a longer one?What is the best way to care for lip piercing?
use mouth wash a lot. it really helps. try to keep your mouth as clean as possible and it will heal faster -- I changed my lip ring in 2 days -- the swelling got so bad my lip was tearing from the tight ring. When I changed it - it went threw fine. Within 4 days it was healed perfectly! I love it!What is the best way to care for lip piercing?
Don't use peroxide..


Use sea salt soaks/saline on the outside. And alchohol free mouthwash for the inside. Lip piercings are good healers, so don't use anything too much that might be too harsh. Alcohol and bleach are waaaay too harsh, and they normally end up doing more harm than good





If you want to change it, go back to the piercer, they'll do it for you. Then they'll keep it clean, and without much hassle or pain, and if it falls out and closes you have someone else to blame, and they'll normally repierce it too
How about...not getting it in the first place? I assume you are young; how's that goofy freaking hole in your lip gonna look when you go for a job interview? Ridiculous! But to actually answer your question: use a good antibiotic cream, like Mycitracin (or ask the pharmacist, assuming she can stop laughing at how silly you look and can understand you). Lastly, remember that what YOU think is hip and neato and cool and cutting edge - lip piercing - is already way way way on the way out. It's gonna just look stupid (stupider) and faux trendy in about 6 months. No one here in the Bay Area (SF) still does it. We all laugh at people who keep doing it. Stick to a couple of holes in your ears, and that's it. How is it going to look when you are 40, and have these stupid holes in your lip, and you want people to take you seriously, and make more than minimum wage? Unless, you REALLY REALLY like working in the fast food industry. Take my advice: let these holes close up NOW. The trend has passed whether you realize it or not.
